4 Simple Ways To Show Off Your Reborn Doll

Owning a reborn doll is a unique experience that can’t be described until you see it for yourself. You’ll have the opportunity to dress them up in cute clothes, brush their hair and even place makeup on them. Once you’ve spent countless hours with your reborn, you’ll probably want to show them off for other people to see. After all, that’s part of the enjoyment that comes along with owning one. The problem, however, is that many people don’t know where or how to show off their reborn. While there are countless different ways to show off a reborn doll, here we’ll take a look at the top 4 and reveal how you can set them up in your home.

Before we start, it’s important to note the fragility of reborn dolls and how they must be properly cared for. The process of creating a reborn doll takes over 40 hours of hard work. During that time, the factory details and features are removed and more lifelike ones are added. A reborn doll is no longer a children’s toy when it’s completed, but instead it’s an artistic collectible that needs to be cared for. Don’t leave your reborn laying around on the floor where there’s a chance the family dog or cat could get to it. Always make sure your reborn is safely tucked away out of the reach of pets and small children.

Reborn Daybed

Daybed

Sometimes all it takes is a simple daybed to create the perfect display area for your reborn doll. If there’s an unused daybed in your bedroom or living room, you should turn it into a reborn display. It’s quick, easy and requires minimal work to achieve an attractive display. Start by moving your daybed up against one of the nearest windows, as the natural light will bring focus to your reborn. Be sure to open up the curtains to get the effect of the sunlight coming through the window.

You’ll then need to decide whether you want your reborn displayed in a sitting-up position or if you want them laying down. Daybeds are unique because they offer both of these choices, which gives you greater control over your reborn display. This is really a personal decision that’s completely up to you, but I’ve found that reborns sitting up are more visible than ones laying down. Take a minute or two to see how your reborn looks in both positions and then make your choice.

Bassinet

Reborn Bassinet

There’s nothing that compares to the uniquely stylish appearance that’s created with a bassinet. They offer an excellent way to show your reborn off to others, while keeping them in a safe environment that’s protected from dirt, dust and other environmental conditions. If you don’t know what a bassinet is (many people don’t), let me explain – basically, it’s a raised compact crib with a cocoon-like center where newborn babies sleep. The unique cocoon shape makes the baby feel more safe and secure, so they tend to sleep more soundly in them.

While bassinets are traditionally used for newborn babies, they are also perfect for showing off your reborn doll. You can tuck your reborn away just like you would an actual baby and cover them up with a couple of soft blankets. Once you’ve set your reborn up in their new home, you can then move the bassinet to an area of the home where people will easily see it. Of course, a nursery room is the ideal location, but not everyone has the luxury of dedicating an entire room to their reborns. Instead, consider placing the bassinet around the living room, dining room or somewhere in your bedroom.

Bassinets come in all shapes, sizes and colors, and purchasing one can prove to be a challenge if you’ve never done so before. Start by identifying how much free space you have in the room where you intend on placing it. Then, narrow your selection down to bassinets that fit your reborn’s style and the color of their blankets.

Reborn Stroller

Stroller

Most people probably wouldn’t think of a stroller being used to show off a reborn, but it’s actually the perfect way to do so. Even if you don’t plan on pushing your reborn around the park in a stroller, you can still leave it strategically set up in an area of the house where people can see it. Strollers have a unique newborn feel to them that’s perfect for displaying a reborn.

Strollers typically fall into one of two different categories – modern and vintage. Both of these can be effectively used to create a reborn display, but there are some notable differences between the two. Typically, vintage strollers have more floral designs and embellishments, while modern strollers are built with the main focus on functionality rather than looks. Take a look at both types of strollers and choose the one that you think your reborn would look best in.

Basket

Last but not least, a basket can also be an effective way to show off your reborn. They are small, compact, and chances are you already have an unused basket laying somewhere around your home, so why not put it to use? With a little ingenuity, you can transform it into an attractive display for your reborn.

Unlike bassinets, using a basket allows you to show off your reborn farther down where it’s easier for people to see. Once you’ve situated your reborn with blankets and toys, you can then move the basket to an area like a window seal or buffet table. Friends and family members will have an easier time seeing your reborn when it’s placed farther down towards the floor.

Great advice on showing off reborn dolls. I have a nursery set up where most of my dolls stay, but I also take them out and place them in my window seal from time to time.

Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed reading it. I don’t think I’ve heard of placing reborn dolls in the window seal before, but I can see how it would work in homes with huge sun rooms or bonus rooms where the window seals are extended.

I know dolls can be damaged by sunlight. I really hope people stay away from any idea with sunlight. I thought the same as you when I read it.😖
Overall I loved your Advice giving people that struggle with finding a place good/safe for their reborns. I just don’t want anyone’s reborns to get damaged by the sunlight because I know how expensive they are.😀
